Description

"Battle of Cannae" is the 3rd postcard wargame published by Formosa Force Game in 2011. It simulates the "Battle of Cannae" in 216BC. Components: Two players lead 11 Roman units and 7 Carthage units respectively. The battlefield is a 6X9 grids map. There are three kinds of soldiers including cavalry, heavy infantry, and light infantry. Sequence of play: Two players do actions alternatively. The Carthage player act first. He need to move all units and then units next to enemy units can attack. In each battle, two players roll 1D6 and add the unit combat value. The difference of the result determine which side needs to retreat or flip the counter. The cavalry unit can move for 3 grids and infantry can move for 1 grid. Victory condition: Player who eliminates half of opponent's army win the game immediately.
