Battleground is a card game of infantry combat in World War II. Simpler, but based on the old OOP Up Front by Avalon Hill. Squad vs. Squad combat. Infantrymen are maneuvered via card play on a mapboard in fire teams. Terrain is placed via card play and are marked on the board with the terrain tiles during play. Cards are played to fire and a die is used for combat. Components include: 48 Cards 28 Terrain Tiles 42 Infantryman tiles 4 National Characteristics cards 1 17 x 33" mapboard 12-page rulebook 1 d6
