Description

The Go Words deck has two colored suits, pink and dark gray, and each suit has 27 cards, one for each letter of the alphabet, and a blank (wild) card. Each card has a point value between 1 and 10 depending on the letter's frequency, the blank being worth 0. Each card also has a line drawing, typically of something starting with its letter (e.g. Apple, Balloon, Carrot, Dog, etc.) Go Words is not a single game, but a set that can be used for many games. The deck does not come with any rules, to encourage the user to make up their own games. The game's product page (peak-ed.com/product-page/go-words) says "You can play so many games, including Word Hold-Em, Word Scramble, Cross Words, Word Spit, adult drinking games, and many many more! ... and if all else fails these can be used as flashcards for little ones." And the rules page (peak-ed.com/go-words-rules) does have a few videos showing possible games to play with the set: Go Fish with Letters. The play in the video is actually a rummy game, with players drawing and discarding until they can spell a word of 3-5 letters. Go Fish could also be played with this set, of course. Crosswords. Two players each start with one color of cards, and on their turn they play cards to build and extend a Scrabble-like crossword. Wordfinder. A moderate number of letters are formed into a grid, and players write down all the words they can see, similar to Boggle.
