Description

In Time Crimes, you are Detectives tasked with investigating and building a case against a serial murderer. Within the department, there is a new promotion coming up that you're competing for. At your disposal to aid you in this task is the new Time Stream technology, that will allow you to play with time and manipulate the evidence in your favor. Only time will tell who can build the most compelling case and win the coveted promotion. Time Crimes is a competitive, must follow trick taking game, in which the tricks are the collection and manipulation of evidence from the crimes. Each of the four crimes represent a suit, with the most recent crime being the trump suit. It plays three players as an individuals or two teams of two. After playing a card into the trick, players will each have the opportunity to either lock in their selected card, or take a Time Stream token and push the current card into the future, replacing it with a card from their hand. When the trick is finished, the winner of the trick will claim an evidence token and one of the cards from the trick other than their own. On the next trick, any cards held in the Time Stream must be played on that player's turn (breaking the must follow rule if relevant. The hand ends when one player plays their last card. At the end of the hand, the player or team who best balanced their gathered evidence tokens with their use of the Time Stream technology will score the most points. —description from the publisher
