Jardins de Amitis
2025
Published by Board Game Bureau
Although its existence is questionable due to lack of evidence, it is estimated that King Nebuchadnezzar II was responsible for its construction, marking the height of the neo-Babylonian empire between 605-562 BC. Among the 7 wonders of the ancient world, this is the only one that left no traces of its existence. The ideas we have of its aesthetics come from ancient writings of Greek and Roman historians. They say that, to please his bride, Amitis, the king gathered his best architects to build a pyramid that would remind her of the mountainous regions of her homeland in Persia. This pyramid, composed of majestic pillars, waterfalls, fountains, statues, and trees of all kinds, would become known as the legendary HANGING GARDENS OF BABYLON. GAME OBJECTIVE Be the player with the most victory points after completing the construction of the pyramid. You earn points by: - Having constructions of the same type adjacent to each other. - Completing the objectives of your project card. - Achieving the majorities of the public project cards.
