Description

This tile-placement game is themed around town development in the Bitchū Fukiya district (Hiroshima City, Okayama Prefecture). The red pigment Bengara, accidentally created in Fukiya, brought immense wealth to this land, leading the town to peak prosperity. The wealthy merchants who amassed fortunes through the local Bengara trade painted their residences and various structures red, creating a distinctive townscape resembling a crimson corridor. Today, this nostalgic and beautiful red landscape, along with the progressive ideas that shaped it, continues to deeply impress visitors. System Features BENGARA is a head-to-head game for two players. Each player acts as a wealthy merchant establishing themselves in Fukiya, placing tiles featuring various buildings onto a shared board to develop the town. Players secure Bengara pigment and funds needed for construction while fulfilling the diverse building requirements listed on Request Cards to earn victory points. One key system feature is the simultaneous action selection and turn order auction. Players decide whether to prioritize turn order for the next round or take a more powerful action this round, all while observing each other's situations. Additionally, the main action of tile placement includes elements like bonus resources gained by fulfilling conditions, various benefits, and the Completion of an Area feature that yields victory points. BENGARA is a game for two players that offers deep, strategic gameplay. Furthermore, by the end of the game, a beautiful landscape of various red buildings will be created on the table.
