This is eckso, a fast, two-player strategy game where magnets and gravity determine whether you win or topple. Every move brings you closer to capturing a symbol for the win, OR toppling the board! To play, you build the board outwards from the pedestal. Overlap or underlap one of the existing cards on each turn. Your goal is to capture at least one of your opponent s symbols by boxing it in. As you expand the board, though, it becomes more and more unstable. Make it too delicate, and your winning move could topple the whole thing. Placing a card changes the board significantly, because each eckso card is effectively a quadruple move. This creates tons of edge conditions to consider. It s kind of like a Jenga-fied version of chess. —description from the designer
