One Too Many is a push-your-luck game playable with a standard deck of cards about greed, timing, and reading the other players. Players collectively draw cards, trying to build up valuable piles of cards, while keeping a wary eye on the growing danger in the center of the table. Each turn, all players simultaneously choose how many cards to take. Non-Diamond cards add to a player s growing pile, but Diamonds are placed in the center, where they threaten everyone. If the Diamonds ever form a straight longer than the the number of players, the group busts, and the greediest player(s) that turn are punished for going too far. Players may choose to stop at any time, banking the cards they ve accumulated before risking it all again. As Diamonds pile up, players must judge how far the table can go, and whether taking "just one more" card is worth the risk. —description from the designer
