Feelings Animal Welfare was created in collaboration with the association Des Pattes et des Classes (Paws and Classes), which works to raise public awareness of respect for living beings and a better understanding of animals. This game invites players to explore the emotions evoked by our relationships with animals: whether they are everyday companions or animals exploited for consumption or entertainment. It encourages reflection on the place we give them in our lives and in society, highlighting their fundamental needs as well as their biological, behavioral, psychological, and cognitive capacities. The game uses the same mechanics as Feelings: a Situation card, related to the animal theme, is read aloud. Each person around the table chooses one of the six Emotion cards placed around the board to express what they would feel in that situation. The challenge is then to guess the emotion chosen by another person… before someone tries to guess yours. The more you are in sync with each other, the more you will progress on the path of empathy.
