Description

Drink or Die is a bluffing and set-collection card game for 2–5 players where rival alchemists brew mysterious potions and dare each other to drink them. Try it now: https://tabletoplab25-hash.github.io/DRINK-OR-DIE/ The deck contains 90 cards across five elements: Fire 🔥, Ice 🧊, Light ✨, Shadow 💀, and Nature 🌿. Each card has a value of 1, 2, or 3. Elements form two opposing pairs — Fire vs Ice and Light vs Shadow — while Nature is a neutral wildcard that corrects imbalance but comes at a cost. On your turn, one player creates a potion by placing two cards from their hand into a shared cauldron: one face-down (hidden) and one face-up (visible). Then, in clockwise order, each player either adds a card to the cauldron (face-up or face-down, respecting a balance rule) or drinks the potion, claiming all the cards for their personal collection. A player who has already drunk this round still participates by adding cards, influencing what the remaining players will be forced to swallow. If the cauldron ever reaches six cards, the next eligible player must drink — no choice. After drinking, that player brews the next potion for the others. The round ends when everyone has drunk once, and hands are refilled to six cards. The game ends when the draw pile runs out. Scoring rewards both volume and balance: your score equals the sum of all your card values, minus your Nature total, minus three points for every point of remaining elemental imbalance. Nature reduces your imbalance but subtracts from your raw score — and overshooting with too much Nature is just as punishing as having too little. The player with the most points wins. With hidden information driving every decision, Drink or Die creates tense moments of social deduction at the table. Should you drink now while the potion looks safe, or wait for more cards and risk someone poisoning it? Can you trust the player who says "it's just a Nature 1" face-down? And once you've drunk, can you weaponize your remaining cards to sabotage an opponent's next potion?
