Description

Jane Siavash is a hidden-role, deduction and reasoning game for 5 to 15 players. The game depicts a battle between Iran and Turan as players work to rescue Siavash. It is inspired by the epic story of Ferdowsi's Shahnameh. Story: the jealousy of Garshasp, Afrasiyab s brother, who cunningly manipulates Afrasiyab into sending an army to kill Siavash. Farangis, Siavash s wife and Afrasiyab s daughter, learns of this plot and sends a messenger to Iran. Upon receiving the news, King Kay Kavus of Iran, Siavash s father, mobilizes a force of Iranian heroes to march against Afrasiyab. As the Iranian army approaches the borders of Turan, Afrasiyab, knowing he cannot defeat the Iranians in open battle, orders his sorcerer Bazur to stop their advance. Bazur conjures a fierce snowstorm and blizzard, leaving the Iranian forces exhausted, disoriented, and barely able to recognize friend from foe. Taking advantage of the chaos, Afrasiyab attempts to secretly infiltrate the Iranian army with a few of his warriors, hoping to destroy it from within. Siavash, aware of the Iranian army s plight and Afrasiyab s plot, must secretly enter the army to help them. He needs to warn the Iranians of the Turanian infiltrators without being discovered, while the Iranians, trapped in snow and cold, struggle to make clear decisions. Players must navigate deception, hidden roles, and uncertain alliances to influence the outcome of this epic conflict and determine whether Iran can successfully rescue Siavash. —description from the publisher
