Players choose to play as Janet, Rita, Gladys, or Madge and race across the backyard board to be the first to reach the verandah steps. A turn consists of flipping one of the twelve face-down tiles on the sandpit board. If it matches the next spot in their path, the player gets to progress one more space closer to the other end of the board. Flipping over a Nana Nap or Grouchy Granny tile stops the player's progress and causes all of the tiles in the sandbox to be reshuffled. The first player to reach the last space on their path gets to call Nana Chris and teach her how to floss.
