The Rite of Rika (RoR) offers a fiercely competitive 2v2 tactical experience that shatters conventional gameplay paradigms. Plunging teams into the heart of "The Rule of Rika" sci-fi space opera, four completely asymmetric alien races send their best Generals and Chancellors to resolve disputes across dual battlefronts. Under strict communication limits—meticulously designed to heighten tension and strategic focus—Generals command their heroes in miniature skirmishes on the planetoid Rika, while Chancellors engage in a simultaneous political card game on the orbiting Galactic Council. Their actions directly influence one another in a synergistic manner, unique to each race. Designed from the ground up for competitive and tournament play, The Rite of Rika demands both team and race synchronization for maximum effectiveness. The game unfolds in a strict turn order—First Chancellor, Second Chancellor, First General, Second General— crafted to manage its dual-layered gameplay. This sequence forces constant tactical awareness and anticipation, as Chancellors' card plays directly set the stage for Generals' skirmishes, while Generals' abilities, in turn, empower the Chancellors' prowess. Since every race in RoR has completely unique unit and card mechanics as well as its own path to triumph and defeat, you will effectively play a different game with each choice. The success of your team depends on anticipating each other's needs, leveraging abilities, and executing synchronized strategies, all within an intimate understanding of your chosen race. Choose the mighty Akvira Empire and their power of prescience, the otherworldly Liguni Confluence and their symbioticism, the aura-manifesting giants of Dindrae Tetrarky, and the quest-searching Zo Har Unity to prove your race worthy of galactic ascension! —description from the publisher
