Description

Case 69 is a compact deduction thriller where players become investigators racing to crack a confidential case. Twelve cards form a shifting Crime Scene arranged in a circle, with a central Safe that hides critical evidence. Each round, players draw from the Crime Scene, play a card face up for its tactical effect—or face down to secretly scout another player s hand—and then return their played card back to the same slot, constantly reshaping what is known and unknown. The two key pieces of evidence, the Bloodstained ID (6) and the Bloodstained Weapon (9), are the heart of the mystery. To close the case, a player must hold one of them and successfully identify the exact location of the other—whether it is hidden somewhere at the Crime Scene or held by another investigator. But if a declaration is wrong, the risk is real: another player may instantly win instead, or the table may spiral into a dead round where all remaining investigators earn a point. Throughout the game, players manipulate the Crime Scene using asymmetric card effects—shuffling the evidence, swapping hands, moving cards into or out of the Safe, or forcing certain players to exchange cards based on odd or even numbers. Bluffing, timing, memory, and reading the table are essential; every action reveals just enough information to build suspicion or mislead opponents. Rounds are quick, tense, and filled with razor-sharp decisions. The first player to reach four points wins the game, but in Case 69, information is never safe, identities are never certain, and every turn might be the moment someone cracks the case before you do. —description from the publisher
