A Christmas Tree Duel is a drafting game played with a standard 52 card deck. Two players alternate taking cards from a large pyramid or "christmas tree" in the middle of the table to add to their own trees. When placing a card, players may choose to flip it face down in order to score patterns in their trees called "frills". That player then gains presents depending on how many and what types of frills were scored. The game ends when the christmas tree in the middle has been fully drafted, or when all 21 presents have been gained. The winner is the player with the most presents. —description from the designer
