Description

PrismFall is a fast, color-driven card game of pressure, timing, and table awareness for 2–6 players. Designed to be instantly learnable yet strategically engaging, the game blends family-friendly accessibility with tense multiplayer decision-making. Instead of health or combat elimination, PrismFall uses a unique Coloruption system. Players accumulate Coloruption as they are targeted by card effects and combos. When a player reaches 20 Coloruption, their spectrum is on the brink of collapse—further pressure forces them to discard cards to survive. If they can no longer absorb the excess, they are eliminated. The game is played with a single shared community deck, ensuring no deck construction, no power imbalance, and minimal setup. On each turn, players: Draw one card Play either a single card, a multi-card Chroma String (2–4 card combo), or pass Place one card face-down into a Reserve, which serves as a tactical buffer and bluffing tool Chroma Strings are the core of the game s combo system. Playing multiple cards together replaces individual effects with stronger, predefined actions, rewarding timing and hand management without requiring complex rules or keywords. To prevent early dog-piling, PrismFall includes a Focus-Fire Defense rule: if multiple opponents pressure the same player in a round, their Reserve absorbs damage at increased strength, keeping the game dynamic and social. Games typically last 5–12 minutes, making PrismFall ideal for families, casual groups, warm-ups, or repeat play. With no player death, no violent themes, and a strong emphasis on momentum and collapse, PrismFall offers a fresh take on fast-play multiplayer card games. PrismFall launches with a fully locked Version 1.0 ruleset. The design intentionally supports future expansion modules and advanced play variants, which build on the same core mechanics without altering the base game. —description from the publisher — Designer s Note — Design Note from the Creator PrismFall v1.0 is intentionally locked. What you re seeing on this page represents the complete ruleset and design philosophy for the first era of the game. We re not holding mechanics back, and we re not planning mid-campaign revisions. Future expansions already exist at the design level — but they are separate eras, not patches to v1. When PrismFall grows, it will do so through explicit, opt-in modules, not rule creep or forced upgrades. In short: v1 is complete v1 will stand on its own future content will respect that boundary We believe games should be finished when they ship — and allowed to earn history afterward.
