Flashy: The Pachanga of Memory VIP
0Designed by Jorge Martinez G.
Flashy: The Pachanga of Memory VIP reinvents the classic memory game through the Universal Pachanga Vip (UPV). Each turn begins in Layer 0: players must choose between spending a Token to stay safe, or rolling the Blue die to enter a high-risk, high-reward state. If granted access to Layer 1, the player draws a VSD (Variable Scoring Deck) card that defines two things: the scoring value of any matching pair found this turn, and a temporary twist, restriction, bonus, or challenge applied during tile flipping. Some Blue-die outcomes may instead trigger the Red die, adding chaotic effects such as turn swaps, tile disruptions, card steals, or forced flips. (Exact die faces are revealed only in the rulebook.) Once in Layer 1, the player performs the classic flip two tiles action — now enhanced by UPV dynamics. If they succeed, the VSD card grants their score; if they fail, all temporary effects reset and the turn ends. Flashy retains the simplicity and accessibility of traditional memory games, but adds tension, timing, tactical decisions, social interaction, and powerful replayability. Optional variants allow using d8 or d12 Blue dice for expanded challenge levels —description from the designer
