Will you be able to stop the Japanese? Game play of this version of the Combat Boots Underway is a tactical naval board game that deals with the interplay between aircraft and ships. Players take turns via IGO-UGO phases, moving units one at a time. There are possible reaction moves. There is a map board where hexes are 100 miles across and a tactical board where the scale drops to 7 miles per hex. Ships are rated for Range, Speed, Anti-Air , Anti-sub, Surface action ability and survivability. Planes are rated for Maneuver, Armament Firepower, Speed and Survivability.
