Microfishing is a card game for two where players take on the role of contestants in a fishing contest! The catch is that they're trying to catch exactly the right number of very tiny fish. Over a series of rounds, players will use cards from their hand to capture fish from the Lake that add up to 18. Be careful of The Turtle though, as it will eat one of your captured fish if you catch it! Microfishing is based on the classic Spanish card game Escoba, but the capture value to aim for in Microfishing is 18. On their turn, if a player's card adds up to 18 with any of the Lake cards in the middle of the table, they capture them. Each round, the players who capture the most fish, the rarest fish, the prettiest fish, and the Tiniest Fish will earn points toward winning the game. As with other games in the same family as Escoba and Scopa, if a player captures all the cards from the middle of the table, they earn a bonus point: a Bag! The game is also completely playable with a set of double-six dominoes. Each card in Microfishing is just the sum of its corresponding tile. -description from designer
