If a player's movement spin ends on a submarine they do not move and instead turn the knob in the center of the gameboard. This may cause submarines to appear in some of the holes in the board. Players can move ships near the submarines to attack them, which is done by placing the submarine on the separate cardboard piece and launching the depth charge at it with the spring. Sinking a submarine earns a citation. The other way to earn citations is to land a battleship in the opposing ammunition depot, which is worth five citations. The first player or team to earn ten citations wins, unless one fleet is completely destroyed, in which case the side with the most citations wins.
