This Dawn of Iron battle pack expansion takes you just beyond the American Civil War into a historically adjacent conflict in South America involving ironclads and wooden ships. The War of the Pacific primarily involved Peru and Chile as they battled for naval supremacy over valuable guano/nitrate reserves along the South American western coast lines. Both nations armed their navies with the latest ironclad designs from British shipyards, which famously clashed on the Peruvian and Chilean waters from the 1879 Battle of Iquiqui and beyond. This is a super-sized pack, packed with eight (8!) historical scenarios, two new missions (which are also applicable for your ACW games) and all of the ships you'll need to tell the story of the first half of the conflict. A second expansion covering the finale of the naval war at Angamos is forthcoming, so stay tuned! Inside you will find: History & Maps of the War (16pgs) New Mission and Scenario rules (2pg) 8x Historical Scenario 2x General Play Mission (inspired by the battles) 23x Ship Cards (12x Chilean, 9x Peruvian, and 2x British. Contains formats for A4 and US Letter paper sizes.) 12x Fortification Cards (Contains formats for A4 and US Letter paper sizes.) 22x New Upgrade Cards (A4 and US Letter paper sizes) About Dawn of Iron Expansion Packs This is an expansion for Dawn of Iron: The American Civil War at Sea.
