Description
The pieces are set up as in checkers, the difference being that each player's pieces are numbered and placed on the corresponding numbered squares on the board. The lowest-numbered pieces are placed in the front row and represent the pawns in chess: they draw out the opponent's pieces, especially those with higher numbers, clear the board by capturing, protect their own higher-numbered pieces from the opponent's attack, and thus help to bring the highest-numbered pieces into the opponent's field. The winner is the player with the highest point total at the end of the game.
