Running on the new 'Second Edition' game engine, this standalone core set takes you on a brand-new adventure deep into the twisted landscape beyond the Dark Castle - adding new 'Fear' and 'Darkness' mechanics to the classic gameplay of its predecessor. The goal of the game remains the same as for the other games of the Escape the Dark series : the up to 4 player group has to complete every chapter in the castle deck, then defeat the final boss. To win, they must keep every member of the team alive - if any player is killed the game ends immediately.
