Each round, players must get rid of their tiles as quickly as possible by placing them on a starting layer of tiles according to the building rules. During placement, Mondrian tokens can be earned that earn extra points. The game consists of four rounds of play with a new building and stacking method in each round. If the building is complete or one player has got rid of all their tiles, the round ends and a scoring takes place. In addition to the Mondrian tokens obtained, players earn points based on the number of tiles they managed to place during the round. The fewer tiles a player has left, the more points a player gets.
