Draft, stack, and block — build your island paradise while steering others away from theirs! In Archipels, players shape their ideal Polynesian island by drafting and stacking beautiful layered tiles: the sea, the sand, and vibrant constructions. Over 9 rounds (days), they build their island board by selecting tiles from a stunning central 3D board — this raised platform not only showcases the available tiles, but also receives the players paddles, creating a dynamic and eye-catching shared space. What sets the game apart is its clever paddle mechanism:: Each round, every player places one paddle to indicate a row or column from which they ll draft. But this paddle doesn t just guide your choice — it also blocks that entire row or column for the other players. Every turn becomes a clever balance of choosing what you want and denying access to your opponents. But Archipels offers a second twist: the scoring isn t fixed. Throughout the game, players place flower tokens on a shared scoring board, gradually shaping the value of different tile types — marine animals, land animals, buildings, bottles, and more. You re not just building your island — you re actively deciding what it s worth. What You'll Find in Archipels: A tactical paddle system that blends tile selection with interactive blocking Scoring that evolves with every game, shaped by player choices Elegant 3-layer island building: Ocean Sand Structures A 3D drafting board that s as strategic as it is beautiful Fast-paced rounds with meaningful decisions A perfect mix of simplicity, strategy, and player interaction —description from the publisher
