Description

The Rhine & Rhone river valleys, with headwaters high in the alps, are home to tribes of Celtic Gauls who inhabit lands in the shadow of the Roman Empire. Across this landscape, the Gauls farmed, traded, and jockeyed for political clout while navigating the pressure and influence of Roman power and the threat of invasion. In Rhine & Rhone, players will vie for control by carefully maneuvering their tribe s leaders and supporters to control territories, erect shrines, and secure valuable treasures and relics. When opposing leaders come into conflict, players will clash for control of the territory and dominance in the region. Gameplay Objective The overall objective of the game is to have the highest point score across four different tracks of supporters: Druids, Nobles, Traders, and Farmers. However, a player s score at the end of the game is equal to their lowest score among the four tracks! Balancing the need to grow each track while also leveraging big scoring opportunities relative to the moves of other players is the crux of the gameplay. Components 224 mini-sized cards (2.5" x 1.75"_ 16 Leader Tokens (4 per player) 8 Player Boards (2 per player, 3.5" x 5.5") 3 Score Track boards (3.5" x 5.5") 16 Score Track Cubes 16 Treasure tokens 6 Shrine Dice 1 Conflict Token —description from the designer
