At the start of the game, each player receives a Gift Bag board showing a unique color pattern they need to complete. Foam squares in four different colors (red, blue, green, yellow) are randomly placed face-down on the main board, creating a festive mix of hidden presents waiting to be picked up. On a turn, a player may move their train up to two spaces along the tracks, always following the directions of the rails. Some spaces allow you to switch between different tracks through arrows, while others limit your movement to a single line. Movement is simple but requires careful planning to reach the right presents before the other players do. When a train lands on a space, the player may collect the available foam square and place it in their Gift Bag, or exchange one of the gifts they already have with the one on the board.
