In Cover Up, each player is dealt five transparent cards with different symbols on them. The players task is to flip, rotate, cover, and arrange their cards on the table so that as few symbols as possible remain visible. Only identical symbols may be placed on top of each other. The fastest player to arrange their cards flips the hourglass, giving the others 30 seconds to finish placing their own cards. With each round the challenge becomes harder, and after five rounds the player with the fewest penalty points wins.
