Description

Merde! is a P&P sandbox that lets you relive the battles of the Napoleonic era. The three-dimensional tokens are designed to represent various types of formations and contain all the information regarding combat, movement, and discipline characteristics. The innovative Headquarters board allows players to plan the organization of their armies, the activation order of the various formations, the orders to follow, and victory points. Thanks to this mechanism, players can, if they wish, move their corps simultaneously. Armies are divided into formations under the orders of their respective commanders, who are tasked with conquering the sector of the battlefield assigned to them, distributing forces between attack, support, and defense lines. Movements and changes of source are made via the octagonal points that characterize the maps, which are divided into attack and defense areas. The Action cards determine weather conditions, initial movements, and unit resistance. Armed conflicts are resolved in real challenges between players using Battle cards, while artillery salvos are regulated by Objective and Shot cards. It is possible to play in solo mode using BOT Action cards. The winner is the player who manages to break the enemy front by routing the enemy units in the various sectors. Maps and orders of battle can be downloaded from the game's webpage. For one or two players aged 12 and up. —description from the designer
