Drunk Cowboy is a tabletop skirmish game played with dice and luck. Roll to move, roll to shoot and with a little luck you ll be the last greenhorn standing. How do you play? Good question! Roll a die, if it s a 2-5 move that many inches in the direction the 1 is facing, and if you roll a 1 or 6, you get to take a shot at your opponent! If you hit, there s a hit chart. 5 wounds and your character is out of the game. I wrote Drunk Cowboy over the course of a few months and launched version 1 at Portland Zine Fest 2023. It was a huge hit and I had a ton of fun demoing the game all weekend. Striving to make it better, a friend and I played it far too much and we reworked the dice mechanics to make it far more dynamic. Version 2 is twice the fun and I m very excited to be relaunching it as part of ZineQuest 2024.
