Description

In Dice Poker Duel, each player has their own player sheet with a 5x5 grid and a trash can. On a turn, the active player rolls three dice, then keeps one of them, while the other player takes the other two. Both players then write each of their numbers into an empty space in their grid (or in the trash). You're trying to create strong poker hands in each row and column and along one diagonal. When you complete a line, circle the letter at the end of the row, then tell your opponent which type of poker hand you completed — straight, full house, etc. — but not the strength of the hand. If you complete adjacent lines, circle the "thumbs up" icon between the letters. When all spaces are filled, compare the poker hands in each line, with the higher hand earning 3 points. Score 1 point for each circled letter or thumbs up icon. Whoever has the higher score wins. This is a 2 player paper pen game. There are 5x5 squares on the sheet hidden by each other's tapes. Players fill in the die rolls on their sheets and place them in each row at the end of the game for a poker game. You cannot see how your opponent is filling in any of the rows. However, the early fill bonus is a hint. If you fill each row quickly, you get bonus points. In return, you have to tell your opponent what the rows are filled with. You can either give the information to your opponent and get bonus points, or you can carefully fill in the rows and win the poker game...
