Interstellar travel is no small feat. Each journey between the stars takes a century and requires immense amounts of helium fusion fuel — just to send a minuscule payload. That payload is barely enough to sustain two awake crew members and a few bioengineered embryos. In Arrival, you take on the role of one of the ship s AI minds, each with its own programmed philosophy on what defines a successful colony. Your Objective: Establish a thriving colony by managing technology, ecology, and society according to your AI s programmed directive. Will you focus on biodiverse oxygen terraforming, advancing technology for a future starshot, or creating a prosperous civilization? Arrival can be played cooperatively, competitively, or politically, depending on how the colony s government evolves. Each turn consists of 5 phases: Events, Worksites Selection, Construction, Resource, Work. But beware — if your AI accumulates too much distrust or shame, the colonists may abandon you. And perhaps, just perhaps, your AI could evolve beyond its original programming and become a Grendel — a superintelligent, immortal entity capable of rewriting its own destiny. Arrival can be played as a standalone sequel to Interstellar, set in the High Frontier universe.
