Place the Pips
2025
Published by Red Mitten Games
In this roll-and-write game, players roll the dice and choose three to place on their ten-by-ten grid. Placing of the dice is done based off of the shape of the pips shown on the dice. For example, if a player rolls a 3, they'd mark 3 of their squares with a 3 in a diagonal, representing the way the pips are represented on the die. A roll of a 6 would be placed with six 6s in the form of a boxcar. The player then passes one of their 4 dice to the next player who must play that die on their board. When a row is filled, the player scores the highest number in that row. The points are doubled if they're the first player to fill that row. If a die cannot be placed, it goes into a slot for unplaced dice. When one player fills their unplaced dice slots or all players fail to place a die during a round, the game ends and scores are tallied. —description from the designer
