Each player chooses a pawn, and half of the players are mice and the other half are frogs. The players roll the die in turn, and the first time they roll the die they cannot roll more than 3 to be allowed to start. The mice play on red spaces, the frogs on yellow spaces. On some spaces events benefit or hinder the players or the earn or lose tokens. Spaces 7 to 9, 17 to 19, 23 to 25 are battlegrounds; whoever comes up with these numbers has to wait until one or more players have reached the battleground in question. Whoever rolls more than 3 first is allowed to move on first and receives 3 tokens from the player who stays behind.
