Description

The year is 1930, a time of shadows and hidden secrets. The city, once vibrant and hopeful, now murmurs with ominous rumors. In the dark alleys, the inhabitants whisper about ancient entities, forbidden and unnameable. The economy, like an ancient ritual, twists and turns, feeding something beyond human comprehension. Forgotten places emerge from the mists, decrepit houses that shouldn't exist, crooked streets that lead to unfathomable chasms. Dreams are haunted by visions of cosmic creatures, snaking tentacles, and all-seeing eyes. Insanity spreads like an evil fungus, corroding minds and tearing veils between our world and the afterlife. Lonely investigators scour forbidden manuscripts, searching for unspeakable truths. Fear seeps into souls, like an icy mist, and the city becomes a cosmic chessboard, where ancient forces plot their return. Hope is a flickering candle, about to go out, as unspeakable horrors await in the shadows. Objective of the Game: Find and stop the Ritual before the Great Old Ones are summoned. Playing the Game: The game is played in turns, alternating between the investigators, the monsters' turn and the news from the Arkham Gazette newspaper that brings more mystery and a lot of information. During their turn, players can investigate, attack, walk, guide allies, spend items to regain sanity and hit points. Players lose the game if they are devoured, killed, go insane, or the ritual is completed and the Great Old Awakens is completed. —description from the designer O ano 1930, uma poca de sombras e segredos ocultos.
