Assault on the Bastion is about assaulting a fortress that is full of treasure. The boss and his army are going to have a tough time breaching the defenses. Each turn consists of three phases: 1.Manuever 2.Shooting 3.Battle Manuever - a player rolls a die for how many actions they get. A piece can move one space for one action and may do up to the total rolled in actions. You can also split the total actions over several figures; if a five was rolled you could move two figures two spaces each and another figure one space. Up to two figures can be in a space. Shooting - The defender then shoots adjacently with his archers, needing a 6 to hit. The arc of fire is front, back, left, right, but on a tower you can also shoot diagonally. Battle - Figures that are adjacent (not diagonally) can fight. Both roll a die and the high side wins and removes a figure. If there are additional figures in the space, then roll again, until the space is cleared. There are some modifiers to this roll. Archers are minus one to the roll and fight after any other knights in the space, and the boss is plus one. If the attackers enter the treasure room they win. If the boss is ever killed, the attacker lose. The game includes: -map -Attacker army with 15 figures (8 knights, 6 shooters, 1 master) -Defending army of 15 figures (8 knights, 7 shooters) -one die
