Description

The players must climb through the stages of human development from Pliopithecus to Homo Pfifficus. The development is represented by a 12-field-scale. In each round, the top card is turned over and read aloud. Then, each player decides on a number from 0 to 9 and takes the corresponding number of chips into their fist. These are revealed simultaneously and the pieces are moved on the game board according to the instructions on the playing card (e.g. "the highest number remains, all others move forward"). The game ends when a player reaches the last field (Homo Pfifficus) with their figure and they are declared the winner. The game also ends after 12 rounds of play where the player who reached the highest level of development (i.e. most advanced) wins. Originally published in spielbox 1992 #6.
