Ming Mang is a traditional game of Tibetan origin played on a NxN board. The setup has all cells on the edges are occupied. The left and upper side by one player, the right and bottom side by the other. All pieces move like the rook in Chess. A piece is captured when it is between two enemy pieces - irrespective of the number of empty cells between the pieces. Captured pieces are converted to the color of the captor. Thus, although very unknown in Tibet, Othello (Reversi) pieces would work well. When played on a 8 x 8 - board each player would start with fourteen men on the board and 14 in reserve to replace captured enemy pieces.
