Description

Autumn is just around the corner! So it's high time to prepare the burrow for winter and build up reserves to feed the colony. Get to work! Gather berries and honey to fill your stomachs, and straw to make your beds cosier. Fluffy Valley is a cooperative game. Stock your burrow with all the resources you need to get through the winter before the end of round 9. —description from the publisher (translated) The goal of the game is to gather berries, honey, and straw from outside and place them on your resource table. You then need to bring them into your burrow. Each turn, you can move one of your four prairie dogs to an empty spot to gather resources, pillage the fox's tunnel for resources (or dangers), exchange rotten berries at the hedgehog's shop for other resources, ask the snake to chase away a weasel or enlist the beaver's help to upgrade some of your actions in exchange for some straw. You should also consider spending a prairie dog to bring in some of the resources from the resource table into the safety of your burrow because, every round, after you moved all your prairie dogs, you get closer to the winter season and need to reveal a danger card. Danger cards can impact your plans. The eagle can swoop up one of your prairie dogs, leaving you with only three for the next round, the weasel can coop up in one of your available spots, blocking it, or the fox can steal your resources from the resource table. The game come with three difficulty settings which makes it easy to adjust for younger players as, by the end of the 9th round, winter approaches and you need to have filled your burrow. Unless you don't mind being a bit uncomfortable during the winter that is!
