Sturlungaspili is a game about the Age of Sturlungar, a time of civil war in Iceland in the 12th century. This civil war ended in 1262 when Iceland became a part of the Norwegian kingdom. Players take the part of one of the ruling families or clans and try to gain dominion in Iceland by buying or occupying the majority of areas in the game.
