The game consists of 48 cards with 8 different, but similar faces. One is in the middle of the table. Players then take turns to flip open a card from their personal stack. The first player to discover two of the same faces calls "Hipp Hipp" and puts the two cards in front of him/her. If a player discovers three of the same (two in front of another player, one in the middle), he/she calls Hipp Hipp Hurra and wins that trio. Whoever has most trios in the end, wins.
