Completely redesigned for Essen release 2025 Breaking Moon is a competitive strategy game for 2–4 players, where corporations race to save humanity from a flooding Earth after the moon is shattered by an asteroid. As sea levels rise and time runs out, players compete to build the space station, evacuate survivors, and secure their legacy. Each round, you must move your helicopter to a new location on the main board to gather resources and select powerful actions. In addition, you perform one production action—choosing between upgrading your corporation, developing new technology, taking on space station projects, or collecting cards that score based on set collection. You ll manage scientists, resources, and upgrades on your personal player board, while the tech board presents shared production opportunities. The market board holds the available resources, breaking moon events, survivor cards, and the score track. As players draw flood cards from the Breaking Moon deck, action spaces on the main board are flooded and permanently lost—pressuring you to act before it s too late. Once the Evacuation Centre is built, players can begin evacuating survivors—but points are only awarded if the space station is completed before the final flood. Breaking Moon challenges you to adapt, plan, and outmaneuver your rivals.
