Global War 1985 is a game of global conflict in the 1980s. Designed for 2 to 7 players, it has 3 scenarios: 1. Pacific Typhoon: a three player scenario between the Soviet Far East Command, the US Pacific Command, and China. 2. Red Thunder: a two to four player scenario between the Warsaw Pact, NATO, Soviet Global Command, and US Global Command. 3. Global ThermoNuclear War: a three to seven player including the entire global conflict and all seven playable factions. Global War 1985 has several unique features. First, it represents a global, hypothetical conflict in the 1980s. Second, it allows player to utilize nuclear weapons, and execute possible 1980s nuclear attack options, as an integral part of a combatant s strategy and planning, without ending the game automatically. Third, it showcases the Chinese economy and military in the 1980s, including relevant unit types and theorized strategies like People s War. Finally, it is the only Global War series game, to date, that includes multiple scenarios.
