The players make a tour around the village into a forest of trolls, in search for gold. Some spaces allow them to win gold rings or to take short cuts, while others force them to lose rings (unless a roll of 4), or to stop. When everyone is back home, the winner is the wealthiest player, who is not necessary the first player to have arrived.
