Hi-Way Henry

1928

Published by All-Fair Toys and Games (Alderman-Fairchild Co.)

Description

This is a race game based on cartoonist Oscar Hitt's 1926 comic strip of the same name. Players control tourists going for a cross-country trip in their busted-out old jalopy. Much of the appeal comes from Witt's sprightly graphics. Movement is controlled by dice (cubes), but the brightly colored board includes a built-in tire spinner that can cause a sudden "blow-out." —user summary
