The All-Fair Baseball Game
1921
Published by All-Fair Toys and Games (Alderman-Fairchild Co.)
This is a partly mechanical, and rather complex, baseball game for two players, boasting a metal playfield inside a wooden frame. A "hidden" trigger allows the pitcher to fire the ball, while the batter has a spring-loaded bat attached to the frame which can swat at the ball. Indented cups in the board at the various bases and home plate, as well as the outfield, allow the ball to come to rest and the play to be scored. The game also includes a set of lead baseball player figures which can be moved around to represent the progress of taking bases, and so on.
