Description

Grapple is a word game where players combine word roots with prefixes and/or suffixes to make valid words. There are three decks, for Prefixes, Roots, and Suffixes, each having 50 cards and 2 blanks. Each player is dealt 2 cards from each deck. During their turn, a player: - Draws a card from any deck - Does any of the following, as many times as they can: --- Lay down a word made from 2-3 cards in the hand --- Add a card from the hand to a word on the table to make a new valid word which is moved to be in front of them. --- Take a card from a word on the table, if it leaves a valid word with 2 cards, to make a new word using the stolen card. - If the player is unable to make any plays during the turn, they discard back down to 6 cards. The player to empty their hand first wins.
