Build the highest scoring trains while preventing your opponents from doing the same. Players are dealt cards with train cars depicted on them including engines, boxcars, tankers, flat cars, and cabooses. Different cars have various abilities that raise or lower the point total of the train onto which it is played. On their turn the player plays one card on any of their trains or an opponents train them chooses another card from the deck. Play continues until all three track cards are discovered from the deck at which time points are totaled.
