In Sunset, players take turns to shape the sunset. Each turn, a player may choose to expand the sky by placing a colored card in a grid. Or, they can place a cloud on a sky card. They may also move the sun token (sideways or down). When the top row is completed, each player chooses a scoring card from their hand. On these cards are descriptions such as grey clouds in the top row , pink cards in the sky or clouds on the top row . The player with the highest scoring card places it in front of them. The top row is removed and the game continues until one player has collected three scoring cards.
