Description

Sharing a Table is one of the finalists for the 2020 Trick Taking Party Awards. It is a six to eight-player trick-taking game using two standard decks of cards and one joker. Players will also need two tables. In an eight-player game, 13 cards are dealt to each player, and the remaining card is flipped face up. The suit of the revealed card will set the specific scoring of the hand at each table; the scorings will be related, such as -2 points for each trick taken at one table, and -1 point for each taken at the other table. The first 4 tricks are played to determine which players from the 8 will move to the second table to play; the results of these tricks do not otherwise bear on the scoring. Each table then plays out the remaining 9 tricks, and the players score. The player with the most points after a number of rounds wins.
